Background and objectives

Based in Brøndby, the Danish FA is a founding member of both FIFA and UEFA. Within this organisation, the Sealand regional team plays a vital role in organising and coordinating grassroots and professional football in the area.

The Sealand team was highly results-driven and sought to strengthen communication and relationships. Their goal was to boost collaboration, deepen mutual understanding and build a more connected, team-focused culture to support their mission.


Strategic solution

Insights worked closely with the team leader to design a bespoke programme using the Insights Discovery Team Effectiveness model that focused on enhancing team dynamics and acting on feedback.

Each team session was followed by actionable homework to embed the learning into daily behaviour.

The programme addressed personal preferences (how people like to work) and their capability. This approach helped the team to understand their own and each other’s working styles, and to identify gaps in performance that needed strategic focus.

Additionally, coaching sessions with the team leader provided support in facilitating meaningful one-on-one conversations, helping to reinforce the cultural shift at every level.


Impact on behaviour

The impact of Insights Discovering Team Effectiveness was tracked by measuring capabilities before and after the programme. Results showed increased effectiveness in 24 areas, including positive atmosphere, mutual respect and acting on feedback. Ultimately, the team evolved into a more cohesive, communicative and respectful unit. They maintained their strong delivery focus and enhanced it through better teamwork, resulting in a team that gets the job done, together.
