There’s all sorts of competition for a new business all right. But because Insights is a licensed programme, except for those who are licensed, nobody else can facilitate it. I think that's a good position to be in.
I didn’t start out trying to become a partner. I just wanted to bring Insights to my clients because I believed in it. What stood out was how open and flexible the team was. Even when I didn’t fully meet the typical criteria in Malaysia, they backed my passion and made it work. That level of trust and adaptability made all the difference. It felt like real partnership from the start, and it’s why this has worked.
After a long corporate career, Dana Khaw launched InnoMind in 2024 with a clear focus on standing out in a saturated market. Early on, she recognised that credibility and differentiation would determine whether the business could win meaningful clients.
Having used Insights for over a decade, she adopted it as a practical tool to bring structure and data into InnoMind’s work. This decision quickly became a strategic win. Instead of competing on generic training, InnoMind moved into a space with less direct competition and stronger perceived value.
This shift enabled the business to move away from price-sensitive SME work and toward larger enterprise clients.
In parallel, InnoMind was accepted as a facilitator within Malaysia’s HRD Corp leadership development programmes, further strengthening its credibility and access to organisations investing in capability building at scale.
Insights became central to how InnoMind engages clients, particularly at the enterprise level. It moved beyond a delivery tool and into a platform for deeper, ongoing work.
