Better self-awareness leads to better relationships and is therefore very helpful in both professional and personal life.
Particularly for students who are about to choose a suitable career or profession in an increasingly complex world, it is vital to be aware of their own and other people’s perceptions of schools and the importance of personal preferences.
During the “Know Yourself – Be Successful” teaching event at the University of Liechtenstein, a total of 25 students from every discipline were given the opportunity to obtain in-depth insights into their own personalities with the help of an Insights Discovery Personal Profile.
At the same time, the established Insights Discovery model once again highlighted how one’s own personality and, above all, personal preferences influence aspects such as effective communication and cooperation with others.
As far as Georg Winder (Learning & Development Specialist at the Liechtenstein Academy Foundation and Lecturer at the University of Liechtenstein) is concerned, Insights Discovery has for some years been providing effective ways to teach personal self-awareness and to strengthen effective communication and cooperation with others.
He feels Insights Discovery provides a helpful tool which, thanks to its non-judgmental language and simultaneous high credibility, helps people obtain a deeper understanding of a preferred behaviour and behavioural preferences in their environment. In his experience, knowledge of one’s own preferences and recognition of preferences in one’s personal environment allows goals to be more easily achieved and team synergies to be better exploited. Mutual understanding in daily interaction with others is also greater.

The students were also very convinced by Insights Discovery after the one-day workshop, where they had the opportunity to reflect furtheron their perceptions of themselves, their own communication patterns and, of course, their preferences too, in a very interactive workshop.
