Such was the case for the Surgery Business Unit at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The COVID-19 pandemic period intensified the already dynamic healthcare environment, requiring the senior team to seamlessly integrate new members amidst increased workload and differing work styles.

With a mix of experience levels, providing support for newcomers and managing post-pandemic recovery pressures became paramount. Additionally, the limited face-to-face contact and interaction created additional pressure on the team.

As the pandemic subsided, the team seized the opportunity to regroup, align tasks, and foster a supportive environment for collaboration.

In fact, the session’s success prompted the OD team to extend its implementation across other areas of the business unit, allowing more teams to reap the benefits of Insights Discovery.
